Flower frogs, and a mirror.

Good morning all you bloggers out there! I truly hope you had an enjoyable weekend!
I was soooooooo blessed to be able to spend three days with my BFF Laurie, from Heaven's Walk.
We shopped antique stores, vintage shops, and a HUGE, huge, antique/flea market. We both found the most awesome vintage "stuff". It was such a wonderful time being with my soul sister...looking for pieces that we love decorating our houses with.
We  were hunting for flower frogs...and wooohoooo, did we find them!
We also found lamps, screens, wire baskets, seed bags and grain sacks of all kinds, doors, windows, and many other wonderful things we couldn't pass up.
I have a bunch of posts coming up, showing the great items we brought home.
Today I'm sharing the flower frogs, and a sweet little vintage mirror.

Cute, huh?  You get a sneek peak at the screens we found too. Funny story that goes with that upcoming post....we both got a set of these beauties.
Well, it's time to get out on the boat for the day.  Too hot to NOT be on the water.
Enjoy your day lovies.
Debbie

  2. I am looking forward to seeing those screens--they looks so pretty from what I can see.

As far as the weather it was actually in the low 60's here this morning---I couldn't believe it and my walk at 7 was very nice! Yesterday there was a nice breeze on the river and things felt great even though it was in the upper 80's.

  3. Ooooh...I am sooooo jealous! Seriously...GREEN! What wonderful finds. I cannot wait to see the screens. My dd was with me and made me pass up a set of louvered doors the other day. They were only $5.00!! I could kick myself now for not arguing her into getting them! grrrrr...after seeing a hint of yours she is on my Crap & Slap list!

BTW-guess what is going in the mail as soon as I go out the door today? hmmm...can you guess? By the time you get them you will no longer recognize me! lol Going back to my old hair style (which isn't much of a style at all)- Keeping curly hair straight must have been designed by the Devil to keep me humble!

I am sooo glad that you and ever-sweet Laurie had such a wonderful time. Did the "boys" stay home and drink MadRat/HappyCat? just askin....;>) xxoo Diana

  4. How precious!! You really hit the jackpot! I'd love to know where you were shopping! Love the antique mirror and the picture frame behind it is just too cute! I love how you decorate your home!

We are not going to the lake until after the 11th because of a million reasons. I'll miss that and the last few times we can be on the water. It's sad isn't it. But fall in the country makes up for it.

Hope all is well with you, girlfriend! :-)

    xoxo

  7. It is a hot day here too. We'll be in the 90's till Thursday they say. I'm in the house where the a/c is. This is not my favorite place to be but it is cool in here. Glad you found lots of lovely things. I haven't been antiquing in a long time but also have a soul sister that likes to do that. Enjoy the boating.

  11. What a beautiful blog you have. I love frogs. When was very little my Nani used them to arrange flowers. They work so well. I'll have to look for them the next time I go antiquing.
    Wonderful to stop by!

  16. Treasures, indeed! I love the way you have it displayed, too.

I guess I usually have my sound down when I come here because this is the first time I've noticed your beautiful music. It "fit" with looking at your stuff.

  17. I'm sooo jealous! The only thing better than thrifting is thrifting with a friend. Can't wait to see all of your goodies. The vintage mirror is so cute... It's really hot here too but I'm glad to be back at the condo. At least we have an ocean breeze unlike home in the upstate.
Have fun out on the water and be safe, Annette
