Holiday kick-off

Hello everyone.
I trust your holiday weekend is going well.
We returned home early because hubby had to work today..but our Thanksgiving was wonderful!
I want to share a couple of pics from our evening at the theater.
Every year we try to see a live production around the holidays.  This year we chose "Mary Poppins".
It was a delight!
Kelly and Kayla, and Melissa and Maddie went with me this year. Zoey went last week with my daughter Erin.
We usually try to have a nice dinner before the show. Tomato Brothers was our choice of eateries this time around. It's a great Italian place we love to dine at for special occasions.

The girls get new dresses, and LOVE the whole evening spent together.

I cherish these special times we share.
This marks the official start to the holidays for our family.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend everyone!
Hugs.
Debbie

  5. What a fun tradition! Where do you go to see the play? We don't do this enough, although we did more often when I worked in downtown Chicago.

You have a beautiful family...what a bunch of sweeties! :-)

  8. Debbie- this is one of the best holiday traditions I have ever heard of! Look at those beautiful smiles! How much fun to get a new dress and then have somewhere fun to wear it to. I am so glad you are having such a grand time with your family and sad your hubby had to work today- mine, too!

  9. Debbie- What a great Holiday tradition. I do think that is the true stuff that family is made of...doing things together year after year - just because! I love all your little girls (big ones too). Do I see some red-heads in the crowd? Whichever little gd is in the last picture reminds me a lot of our 8 year old Lulu...hair and coloring and the general look. Is she a sweet child? And look at those red ringlets!!! Holy Cow! They look like they are having so much fun. However, I can't believe you took them to an Italian place! We would have tomato sauce smeared from tip to top with SweetCheeks! You are a brave soul~

I hope you don't have to work too hard over the Holidays. I just finsihed up my shift and am off for 4 days...and of course, they are packed full of things-to-do already!

You should see "our lake" today. The wind is fierce and the waves are pounding in and freezing as they land. I think it will be hard to make an ice-skating rink this year.

    Have a wonderful weekend. xxooDiana
