Prayer is needed once again.

Here I am again...asking for prayer.
My youngest daughter, Melissa went to the doctor today to hear the results of the ultra-sound on the baby.
There was an abnormality in the heart.
Mel went for blood work this afternoon, and then has appointments set up in Ann Arbor with a high risk specialist.
The first reports may be pointing to Downs Syndrome, or even Spina-bifida(sp).
One doctor said that this is all just precautionary...another says differently.

We are praying for good results, and great reports.
This is Melissa's third child...Maddie and Charlotte are fine. Mel did lose a baby about four years ago, so she's a little nervous about all of this.

Kevin is strong in his faith, so he and his family are all prayer warriors.

I KNOW without a doubt what prayer can do!!

You were all so gracious, and supportive last winter....and I thank God for each and every one of you for your prayers for me!!

So...I come humbly.... again...asking for your support.

However this plays out.....we are going to trust the Lord.
Thank you all!!!
and
God Bless!

  3. Debbie you bet I'll be praying that all is okay. These tests are a help, but they also cause so much anxiety and in many cases everything is fine. It happened to my girlfriend who was told one thing and then had a perfectly healthy baby.....
    My prayers for your family,

  5. I just gave this prayer today to someone at work..and here the Lord leads me to your blog..by chance? I think not!! So here is the prayer I am giving you, all God's Word, His power!!!

I prayed this prayer over my three children...and I can TOTALLY relate to what your daughter is going through since my first born..well I went through the same thing, being told the exact same things....He's 22 years old right now and let's say God IS good all the time!!!

    UNBORN CHILD
Father, I thank You for my unborn child. I treasure this child as a gift from You. My child was created in Your image, perfectly healthy and complete. You have known my child since conception and know the path he/she will take with his/her life. I ask Your blessing upon him/her and stand and believe in his /her salvation through Jesus Christ.
When You created man and woman, You called them blessed and crowned them with glory and honor. It is in You, Father, that my child will live and move, and have his/her being. He/she is Your offspring and will come to worship and praise You.
Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You for the great things You have done and are continuing to do. I am in awe at the miracle of life You have placed inside of me. Thank You!

  6. Girl, you know you got them! My sister was Downs and my niece has spina bifida. They both have their trials, but they have more joy.
Praying for a normal, healthy baby, but if in God's wisdom, he has picked Mel to be the mommy of one of his special angels, that he trusts her enough with one of them, prayers for her to rise to the occasion.
I have never regretted that he chose me to be Doug's mommy.
Prayers are backed with the healing power of Jesus Christ, and there is no doubt that they can and do change things here on earth.
Grab your baby girl and look up, look up, look up. Blessings are coming your way.
    Hugs- Tete

  11. Oh, Debbie.... I am so sorry that the worry is robbing your family of the joy you should all feel right now.
But the God who created the universe, has His hand on this baby...
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb"
I'll be praying... Please keep us posted

  23. You know that I am now praying for you. My dil had a test that told her the baby had spina bifida...about 90% accuracy they said. They suggested she abort the baby (her first). She said absolutely not that they would deal with whatever it was when the baby was born. Guess what? The baby did NOT have spina bifida or ANY OTHER birth defects...she is now almost 13 and perfectly fine/normal in every way. Sometimes the experts are just not all that expert and forget that there is someone bigger than all of us IN CHARGE! xo Diana
