In the meantime.....

I ordered some things for the house.
This house, or the house we will buy if this place sells.
I've made up my mind, that I will bloom where I'm planted.

As much as I long to live closer to my girls, and their families...if God decides to keep us here, then here is where we will stay.
So......I ordered some things that I was going to wait until we moved to purchase.
Then I realized that we might be here for quite a while, and maybe longer than we had ever planned.

So why not enjoy where I am, while I am here? How ever long that may be.
Besides, I will take my things with me if I move!
I will just be taking a few more ruffled pillows, bed skirts, another shower curtain, and some ruffled chair covers for the dining room chairs.
No big deal.

In the meantime, I plan to keep decorating this Lakehouse with more white, shabby, vintage, romantic, ruffles, and roses.
I haven't joined a party in quite a while, so I think I will join Kathleen over at Faded Charm.

  3. That's a great attitude to have and besides, it's always nice at the lake, right? Things will work out the way they are supposed to. I'm praying for you Deb. xo

  4. Good for you, Debbie. I think about that, too. How I keep waiting to do things until "the time is right" and that time might never come....sigh....You are on the right track, kiddo- xo Diana

  5. Pretty photos and you need to do something while you wait to see how this is going to pan out. We only have today, and its a waste of a day if we just sit around waiting for the tomorrows to show up.
Can't wait to see your new stuff, which I know is going to be amazing, but I still want to see.
What's another box or 2 (or 10) when you go to move? I think Faded Charms parties are the best. I used to do it a while back. Probably ought to start again- just got burned out. Ever been there?
So, have a peaceful night there. Sleep tight and dream wonder dreams of a white, rosey, ruffled cottage home on the lake. ;)

  6. Can't wait to see your new things. Beautiful photos as always! I'm wanting more white in my home and have been painting the smaller things. Now I need to just go for it on the bigger pieces.

  7. Love your pretty basket, Debbie! Waiting and not knowing what the future holds is no easy task. But you have a great attitude, to bloom where you are planted!

  8. You have a beautiful place to love and enjoy while you wait. If it's meant to be it will happen. I understand wanting to be near your family. Grandbabies are the reason we haven't moved to the coast permanently. Look forward to seeing your new goodies!

Kathleen ended White Wednesday a while back, she was feeling overwhelmed but Becky at Timewashed took over and is doing Blissful White Wednesday so you could link up over there:) I keep meaning to link up but so far haven't! Her blog is Timewashed.com

  11. I don't see any reason why you should wait to surround yourself with the things you love, Debbie! :) All it's going to do is make your house even prettier (if that's even possible), and maybe help it to sell. Who knows...?? lol! Now hurry up and take some pics of what you bought. We all want to see what they are! :)
