Kindred Spirits and a Surprise!!!

Kindred Spirit: Persons united by likeness of interest, of like nature, or character. Also with references to qualities of disposition, humor, intellect, and mood.
For me...the spirit is the part of me that connects with God.
My soul is the mind, will and emotions part of my being.
I DO understand the term "Kindred Spirit" however.
I feel that connection to some women that have come across my path in this journey I'm on.

One such friend is Donna, from My Shabby Chateau.
She just "gets" me.
Donna sends gifts to some of her blogging friends each year.  This year, the vintage angel ornament cards she sent are so appropriate for me.  I cannot tell you how much they warm my heart.
They are French, glittered, and have silver, and gold cords.
They could not be more perfect for my home!

The one on my tree has silver glitter, a silver cord, and an aqua snowflake. All the colors that are on the tree!
The image is just precious!

This is one of the pretty icicles Donna made a couple of years ago.
I hang them on my tree every year.

Another paper ornament created by Donna from a previous Christmas.
Donna and I stay in contact with each other throughout the year.
Her husband John is a pilot, and they fly over the lake when they go on trips up north.
Donna has sent photos when they've flown over-head. I'm waiting for her to drop a package on one of their trips north!
Actually, I'm hoping to meet them in Howell (the town where my daughter lives) at a favorite restaurant, on one of their flights.
I've found Donna to be a very caring, kind-hearted, open person.
She is very talented, too. She shares her creativity on her wonderful blog My Shabby Chateau.  Donna also sells her creations on etsy.

Thank you, dear friend, for the lovely presents you sent for Christmas! I absolutely LOVE them!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

  1. Debbie, I know Donna, the Glitter Queen. I love her sweet crafts. She is a kind person too. I do not blame you hanging those adorable cards from the tree. They are keepsakes. I laughed when you said she would drop a package from the plane. Too funny. I wanted to stop by and wish you and your family a Glorious Christmas. Love you, Susie

  2. I love glitters but I don't like the mess:) So I bought the glittered cards from the store instead of making them myself. This is a lovely vintage photo:) Happy holidays!

I might not always comment but I do read yours and many of my favorite bloggers. It's a wonderful world here in Blogland and we've all made some wonderful connections. Love the pretties that she has sent to you and I do hope that you get to meet some day.

    Merry Christmas.

    hugs,
