A "chili" post.

It's another VERY cold day here in the Great Lakes State of Michigan.
A great day for making a big pot of chili.

And that, my dears, is exactly what I did!

It sure warms you up on a day like today.

I think it even tastes better when you warm it up the next day!

The cough I had is getting better.
I get tired easily...but do feel so much better than I did.

I hope you are all well, and enjoying the longer days we are experiencing.

                                        Have a happy weekend!

  1. Debbie, I love your sign...so cute. I liked seeing your antique kitchen items. I agree, chili is absolutely a great cold weather food. Ted likes it better warmed up the next day also. Hope you get some warmer temperatures this weekend. Enjoy yourself. I am thinking of visiting my daughter's. Blessings, love you, Susie

  2. Ha - The chili is in the air - I made that 2 nights ago. And it's always better warmed up the day after.

Big debate - beans or NO beans??? I use beans. Have a nice weekend. xo

  3. Hi Debbie,
I love chili, I make it with chicken or turkey, white or with a tomato base, shredded meat or ground, 3 or 4 alarms it is a comforting meal that keeps well and yes intensifies in the refrigerator. So if we didn't live states away I would be there to enjoy a bowl and check out your amazing sign. The sign is absolute coolness!
I meant to answer you about the full moon. I have 2 skylights upstairs and the blueish glow from a full moon comforts and is a monthly enjoyment. Stars I look at and think energy from passed souls shine down on us. I purchased a star in memory of my son and every night before bed it's what I seek out and find comfort in.
Hey Debbie tomorrow Philadelphia will see 54 degrees!!!
Oh hey by the way thats a cool chandelier you have.
    XOXO,

  4. Oh to put in my 2 cents ... to blogger #2 question ... beans! 3 kinds, white, kidney and black beans to add a mix and textural interest to the bowl.

  6. I love your sign, Debbie! I don't remember seeing many pics of your kitchen but it is so YOU! Chili is fun to make...so many variations and yes, you're right,,,it melds in the fridge and tastes better the next day.

The days are definitely longer. It used to be dark by 4 and now it's 5. Love that! We are warming up tomorrow, thank God!
