Vacation Time!

We just returned from our annual camping/water-amusement park/soccer in the sand tournament excursion.
We LOVE the Lake Michigan shoreline!
Sadie and Zoey played on the beach the entire day of the tournament.

The weather was great, and lots of people were out enjoying the day!

My grandson Ethan is number 15, and his long time friend Noah is next to him.
They've been playing soccer together for most of their young lives.

Noah will be heading off to college this Fall, and Ethan will be a senior.
Ethan is playing for Schoolcraft College this summer, while practicing with his high school team for the Fall season.

This is our traditional family photo at the water/amusement park...at the end of the day.
Ethan wasn't with us for this.
He was heading off for Schoolcraft to start playing with the college team on Monday.
We move into the amusement park section to ride the coasters, and other rides for the remainder of the evening.
I look forward to this vacation time with my family every year.
I cherish being able to spend time with everyone together.
We can compare the photo's from year to year, and see how the kids are growing, and changing from one year to the next.
We all went back to the campground after, and made s'mores around the campfire.
Today I'm catching up on laundry, and putting things away.
Anson and Charlotte came home with us, and more of the crew will be coming up tomorrow for the fourth of July weekend.
I'm hoping the weather warms up, and the sun comes back out!
Have a great holiday weekend!!!
Debbie

  7. Love your yearly family photo - such a great idea.

Cripes, the last time I swam in Lake Michigan was probably when I was around 20 years old. It's always too cold for me. LOL. I'm better suited to Florida water.
