There's no place like home.

I'm home.
I've been away for ten days.
My oldest daughter and her husband went to Mexico for their 10 year anniversary, so I took care of their three children.
It was a looooong ten days.
As you can see, I have this pretty jelly jar lid which I received from Sandi at A Cottage Muse.
I thought it would be a nice design, and pretty colors for my bedroom.

On my way downstate, I stopped and bought Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic quilt and pillow shams from Target. I also picked up the round pillow, and a set of Shabby Chic sheets.

I have the ruffled sheet sets, and also a set of the pink roses. Love them all!
This time I purchased the embroidered set of sheets.

I usually decorate with all whites.
Lately, I'm using more pinks, and roses.
I love the romantic look of the roses, and ruffles.
Since growing roses this summer, I seem to want them inside more and more.

I love the reverse side of the quilt as much as the top!

I opened the curtains today, and let the breeze carry the wonderful fragrance of the roses, under the bedroom window, into the room...mmmmmm.
It's true when Dorothy said....."There's no place like home".

  1. Your bedding is beautiful and I'm sure you're happy to be home:@)

  2. So pretty pretty pretty, Debbie!!! That round pillow is awesome! Don't you just love SSC sheets? They're wonderfully crisp and the corners are nice and deep. I think that summertime always encourages us to bring a bit more pastels and roses into our homes. We're just bringin' the outside in! :) So glad that you're safely back at home again! ♥

    xoxo laurie

  3. So true, Debbie! I bet you are tired! I am in love with your pretty bedding! That round pillow is beautiful. Sounds like I need to head on over to Target (or "Tar-jay", as I like to call it!). Love the painted vintage Mason jar lid. What a thoughtful gift!

  4. Well. I wondered where you were and then remembered you had said something about babysitting. Glad it went okay but I know that you are glad to be home. It takes a lot to take care of three, doesn't it?

I am so glad that you got some more RA bedding. I love it, too. YOU are the one that got me started on it. I love the touch of roses in your home. You LOOK like a rose loving lady to me.

Glad to see you here tonight. We are getting ready to get away for a few days-headed South (what were we thinking this time of year). Blessings and love to you- xo Diana

  5. Hello ! I'm loving that bedding !! I think it's nice to have a change with some florals and a bit of colour sometimes ..looks very summery..think I can smell those roses ! Happy midsummer ! Gail x

  6. I agree it's best to be home. Lovely pictures and I really like your bedset with roses. Have a nice day.

  7. So glad you survived! What a beautiful bedroom and love the bedding. I don't think DH would go for pink, I have to sneak things in like that. Our bedroom has blue roses, so that's close.
Hope you have a good day.

  8. Looking at those sheets and that pillow and duvet makes me want to get them too! I love that pillow~its all so pretty. I have the blue hydrangea pattern of hers from Target and I love it. The more you wash it the better it gets, but I haven't tried her maybe its time for some mix and match ~

  9. Hi Debbie...your room looks gorgeous! I'd love to come and stay!

  10. Debbie, Your bedroom looks so sweet. I love the lamp shade, too. I wish I had more roses so I could smell them. So nice of you to watch the children....but you are so right love being home after a trip. Smiles, xoxo, Susie

  16. Home Sweet Home! That mason jar lid is painted so pretty and all those colors would look great in your room! I love the new bed linens! Just beautiful.

  17. Hi Debbie! Happened to come across your blog today, I live in a lake house too but only for 5 months now so I'll definitely be following along someone who has 25 years of lake house decorating experience.

I have always loved the Shabby Chic line at Target but my husband thinks it is too girly. Maybe for a guest room but then I'd always be jealous!

    Have a *fancy* weekend!

  18. Wow! I love it! Soooo pretty and that jelly lid from Sandi is so sweet!

  19. Oh my goodness Debbie! I LOVE YOUR NEW BEDDING! I love everything Rachel Ashwell, don't you?
I am so happy to read that you survived the time with the grands. Why does it seem so much harder now than when we were doing it? : )
    hugs from here...

  20. I love your new bedding, it's gorgeous! How fun that you got to spend 10 days with your grandkids, but I'm sure it does feel good to be back in your own bed:)
