It's been a lovely Sunday afternoon here at the Lakehouse.
It's one of those days that brings a joyful feeling to your heart.
So, today....I would like to share with you why I enjoy blogging.
So many of you have left such encouraging comments, and I really appreciate all of your kind words.
I especially appreciate the prayers that have been said for me, and my family those times when I had some serious health issues.
I've kept all of the cards, and the letters that I received.
Every once in awhile I take them out, and read each one.
It still amazes me the way everyone here rallied around...and even made a prayer banner(that's you Tete!!) for someone they barely knew.
You people did more for me spiritually, and emotionally than most of our family members did.
I thank God for you all.
I feel I've connected with a few bloggers on a very personal level.
I never imagined this would be anything more than a "hobby" for me.
This is a place where we can share decorating, and gardening ideas with others..without feeling intimidated, or silly.
People here are encouraging, and offer suggestions without making you feel lowly. It's a place for the inexperienced to gather ideas, and actually get step by step instructions for projects!!
People are happy to share how to make a pretty pillow for your bed! or how to dry flowers for an everlasting bouquet!
They don't expect you to know how to set a "proper" table..they just want to see what pretty table setting you have to share with the rest of us.
Whether it all matches, or it's all mixed up!!
The same goes with gardening.
It doesn't matter if you're a master gardener, or a first time gardener.
We all love flowers here...and if you need some help, all you need to do is ask.
That's what is nice about the blog-world. People are happy for you when you accomplish your dreams. They encourage you along your journey. They pray when you need it. They send you cards, and even little presents to cheer you up, or "just because". Best of all...they understand.
It's a great place to be a part of.
Some days you might feel the need to put things in perspective concerning "blogging", and that's okay.
Most days, you just enjoy being a part of a community that cares about you, and knows how to give you some blove.(blog-love)according to Nana-Diana.
I'm sure most of you know all of this already....just wanted to let you know how I felt.
Hugs to you!!!!
