Hello everyone.
I thought I would check in, since I've been absent for a few weeks.
The house is still on the market.
We've had a few lookers, but no offers.
We are going in to the slow season, as far as selling houses go.
I wasn't going to decorate for the holidays...but then realized it would be Christmas...no matter what the situation.
So.....I bought a few cans of "pretend" snow, and sprayed the "pretend" tree....
I was going for a flocked look.
Instead, I got a "frosted" look.
I used all of my mercury glass ornaments, and also the silver, and a few white ones.
I should have bought lights on white wires, instead of 300 twinkly lights on green wires.
Oh well, it turned out cozy. I would like to add a few more ornaments, some ribbon, and picks...but that's for another day.I hope you are all well, and enjoying the holiday season.
Big Hugs!!
Debbie
Hi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteYour house will sell when you least expect it, so don't get discouraged.
I love your tree. Go ahead and enjoy the season and don't put your life on hold. I know the feeling, but everything will work out.
hugs
Sissie
It looks lovely Debbie! I love all your ornaments!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure after the holidays things will pick up and, I agree with Sissie...all it takes is one person to see their dream home in yours and it will sell!
Hi Debbie, Once I did that very thing, bought lights with white wiring for a green tree...bummer. Ended up using them on the mantle. Try to enjoy your Christmas even with the house on the market. Remember the baked cookie technic:):) People love smelling them. I hope you and your family are doing well. xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you decided to decorate, and I hope you get an offer soon. Your frosted tree is beautiful!

Well, I think its pretty even with the green wires. Glad you put the tree up. We were in limbo one year and was supposed to be moved in here before Christmas and it didn't happen. Everything was packed to move that we didn't need, so found the tree box and had to buy ornaments(it was easier that way) and lights for the tree and we just did a whacky christmas thing that year. LOL- it worked and the kids didn't suffer at all. They thought it was kind of fun.
ReplyDeleteDebby, It looks beautiful-white or white-washed or whatever-it is gorgeous! I am glad you decided to do a bit of decorating today- Your house will sell in its own good time. I know it makes you anxious waiting for a buyer- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteIt does look wintery and wonderful! I have not even packed the fall stuff up yet...but I want to get my xmas stuff going..maybe next week. I love your tree with the sprayed on snow, and i would really like to try it. Thx for the inspiration~enjoy the season and I hope you get a buyer. xo
ReplyDeleteWell hello Debbie! I lost you and now thanks to Diana's listings I found you again. I sent you an email about a month or so ago, I was worried. I'll be adding you back to my blog list, I don't no how you got off:)
ReplyDeleteLove your chairs and the price was right! So, your selling the lakehouse, I hope all goes well with selling it!
Hi Debbie
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your posting today, I was thinking of you! Your tree is just gorgeous! Cream and silver are my favorites for Christmas! I know that it's extra hard to try and sell a house this time of year, but I bet by spring you will have a buyer, if not sooner! Hope you have a great week!
Your tree is so pretty!! I decorated mine in whites and creams this year.
ReplyDeleteHang in there...the right person will come along and fall in love with your home.
hugs,
Cindy
