It's a blustery day.
The kind of day when you can hear the wind howling outside the doors, and windows.
It hasn't stopped snowing since I climbed out of bed this morning.
Time to plug in the Christmas lights, and turn on the holiday music.
I guess I could pull out a few more decorations.....mmmm....no.
I'd rather curl up on the sofa, cover up with a quilt, and find some favorite decorating magazines to look at.
What makes it more fun is knowing some of the bloggers in some of the magazine features!
Even though you don't know them personally, you've met them through blogging.
Sometimes we are blessed to be able to meet up in person.
Or...you've become friends through emailing each other.
Blogging opens up a whole new avenue for people to connect.
Since it's such a bad day for travel....
I have decided that enjoying a few of my favorite magazines will be my form of entertainment for the day.
I'm sure there will be at least one person's home I will recognize as I look through the many magazines, I have here at my cozy cottage, on this blustery winter day.I hope you enjoy your weekend.

It's been snowing here all day, too, Debbie. Windy, cold, blustery and the snow keeps piling up. We've got almost 8" down here. Ugh. I cleaned the house (with one arm - lol!) this morning, and am finishing up some Christmas cards this afternoon. If it's like this tomorrow, I'll definitely be doing some major blog hopping during the afternoon!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that photo of your pretty tree in the corner with your comfy sofa in the foreground. It's magazine worthy! :) Your house looks so beautiful!
Snuggle in and stay cozy, girlie! It's brutal out there! lol
xoxo laurie
It's snowing here too! I just played in the kitchen... Enjoy your afternoon:@)
ReplyDeleteSame type of day here too with lots of snow on the way. I enjoy recognizing a name in a magazine too, makes you proud to have come across their blog.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm.

We're getting snow here today too. At least hubby is out plowing and I've been in the office all day working. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's till snowing here, too, Debbie! It looks so pretty, so glad I don't have to get out and drive in it. Your tree is gorgeous! I love the silver ornaments, with a touch of aqua. Love, love, love your ruffled curtains, they are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI'm breaking the pattern :-), its hot and humid here still. I crave more rain and clouds and cool.....we get maybe a handful of days like that and I love them so much. Your home is gorgeous! You have so much light coming in, its beautiful. Loved your little basket of tea lites and the statuary!....love everything actually, that snowflake!! Your day sounds lovely to know you are going to snuggle up and just go through magazines. I've had a few days like that and they were glorious! For me, it would be your home I'd stare at in pictures :D
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie ~ Your sweet place is looking so beautiful, I really do love the
ReplyDeletecolor combo of your Tree! How much snow do you guys have up there?
we finally got our 1st bigger snow, we had a dusting or 2 but this is 4-6"
I've stayed in watching Christmas movies all day... I'm in an upper flat and
the people below have the chore of keeping the snow cleared, I just have to
sweep or shovel my stairs, but that can wait till the morning....
Stay Warm, Sending Hugs

Stay Warm...
Hugs,

I hope your day was absolutely beautiful, Debbie. I love your tree and that one has to be real! I can almost smell it-we have an artificial tree because some of the kids were/are allergic to the real ones. Can you imagine? lol Anyway, you home looks lovely-delightful and beautiful. I am so glad that you are one of the wonderful bloggers that I connected with and have come to know and love. Blessings- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteSounds great...lolling around the house in the company of quilts and magazines. Your house is decorated to the nines! I've been imagining blustery days...sitting in the dark listening to Il Divo's album (crackling fire on the tv screen )
ReplyDeleteYou know, I am moving in as soon as the roads are open. Love what you have done there, and save me a seat on the sofa, so we can look at all the fun stuff together. I'm bringing fudge and hot chocolate and 2 whoppers, so if we get snowed in, we will survive in style.
ReplyDeletewell, that sounds like THE perfect day to me!!!! you lucky duck! ENJOY this time!!! ;}
ReplyDeletem ^..^
Debbie, Some days it's good to just sit and listen to Christmas music and look at magazine or blogs. You had the same weather we did. It started Friday evening and snowed almost all day Saturday. Today the wind howled and blew the snow back over what had been cleared. Your home looks so beautiful, all ready for Christmas. Blessings to you dear friend, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYour tree is gorgeous Debbie! I love it! I too get very excited when I see bloggers featured in magazines, I always tell my husband "I know her!..Well, I don't know know her, but I read her blog" lol. My husband leaves for work really early, usually before 5 a.m. so I always turn on the tree after he leaves and drink my coffee with Christmas music on:) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie...love the way you relax and your cozy cottage is the perfect spot!!
