Just a little longer....

I've seen Robins, Red winged Blackbirds, and heard the doves cooing.
I keep telling myself to think Spring.

It's time.
Time for warmth, and sunshine.
Time for green grass, and buds to appear.
When I open my door,

this is what I keep seeing.
As I am typing this, I hear a flock of geese flying over.
Spring and Summer are MY months!!
Being outside in the sunshine, and warmth brings joy to my soul.
I am trying to be patient.

Getting things done inside keeps me busy....but......

the desire to use pretty summer table ware is difficult to put off.

I am anxious for the markets, and greenhouses to open.

Sipping ice cold tea, and lemonade out on the dock while watching the grandkids play in the water is a favorite Summer past-time.

Whipping up a big country style breakfast for summer-time guests is another favorite thing for me to do.

I so look forward to the change from this cold, snowy season to the warmth of Spring, and the heat of Summer!
With it comes tending to the gardens, sitting in the sunshine, having oodles of company for Summer get-togethers, kayaking, long days spent out on the water, and fun evenings around the campfire.
Sigh........Just a little longer I keep telling myself. Be patient, just a little longer.
Think Spring.

  2. I am so ready too Debbie. This tug of war between winter and spring needs to end and Spring win the war already! We are suppose to get more snow tonight. Ugh!!! I was suppose to have some landscaping started today. Well guess what NOPE! I think we need to go to Sanibel until June. What do you say?!!!
Have a great Friday and great week.

  3. I love your gorgeous pieces and treasures, I know your home would be lovely to visit--maybe some day!

I'm trying to be patient. It's hard to live in the moment but I'm learning.

    Love to you, Deb,

  7. I keep telling myself the same thing. There are so many things I want to do when the weather gets warmer. But, unfortunately, there is still snow on the ground where I live.

  8. Oh Debbie! I hear you! I know what you mean... it is this season of "springter" as I like to call it, because it is not quite winter, nor is it really spring... its cold, wet and miserable here today. I was hoping to work in my garden this afternoon, but we are having lots of rain here, so that won't happen. I'll hope along with you for spring to hurry up and get here! Hugs to you today sweet friend!

  9. Oh Debbie, yes yes, looking forward tona true spring, it’s been nice the last few days and warm sun to the face, yet I know it won’t be true, clouds of grey moved in late today and tomorrow (Sunday) may not be as kind to us as it has been. As for your seasons if you never showed what it looked like outside one would think it was spring here year around. I am
Looking forward to your gardens. Happy spring days ahead soon.

  12. I guess we are all longing for nicer weather. Maybe we will appreciate it more this way. It is frustrating as a gardener knowing when and what to plant! Nancy

  13. You have such a beautiful, warm place here where one can find peacefulness in your writings and photos.
I am happily following along with you and look forward to many more visits.
Spring is certainly just around the corner, but until she arrives in all her glory I remind myself that these in between seasons have their purpose too and we can find beauty even in the wet, cold and snowy weather.
    Have a glorious day~
