This too shall pass.....

Getting more things accomplished while the stay at home order is still in place.
We had two very large dead trees cut down yesterday.
I am so happy about that, because now we will have sun shining on the dock, and beach all afternoon during the summer months.
Plus, the moss on the roof should no longer be a problem.
Best of all, no more messy yard to clean up after the dead trees drop branches, and pine needles!

I've been baking....ALOT....which is nice for Jim, but bad for me.
Yesterday, I made banana bread, blueberry pie, and creamy blueberry muffins.
Just the day before, I baked oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies.

The Livingroom also got rearranged, and cleaned yesterday....as well as the dining room.

Today the sunporch was opened up for the summer.
I love reading my Bible, and praying in this room all summer.
Sleeping out here is such a treat.

Outside the window, behind the dressing screens, is the kayak rack.
I was able to take my kayak out a week ago (a few times), but have since put it back on the rack, because of snow and cold weather again.
There are a few other things that need to be done....wash windows, more yard work, some painting, etc.
Hopefully, while we are still under the lock down, I will get more done.
I don't care for the lock down orders...but am doing what is expected of me during the virus, staying home, and safe, as well as keeping others safe.
It doesn't matter what I think about the situation, or who I believe as to what is really going on.
What matters is WHO I believe IN!!  I know, without a doubt, that God is in control of this whole situation.  I trust His plan, and His Will.
This too shall pass.
Until it does....I will keep busy, and accomplish what needs to be done.

  1. Beautiful post Debbie. I believe God will see us through this and I pray we all get his message of needing more tolerance and kindness and reflection. Praying this will turn around soon and we can begin to get our families and lives back. Oh how I miss hugging my grand girls. Have a good weekend.
    xoxo

  2. Beautiful post. I, too, have been baking alot and eating way too much. lol.. yikes.... As much as I am ready to get out now, for sure, it has been nice to regroup and live the way I grew up..eating at home all the time and having special treats at special times. We are getting some things done around the house..but again..just knowing we are not allowed to go out is not the way I want to live .. prayers for those who are sick and our Nation and World. ..and like you have illustrated...and written, we must look above to God for peace. Take care....Be blessed.

  3. Yes this too shall pass. Nothing stays the same forever. We too had snow and not something I wanted to see in April, but we can't do anything about the weather. We can only make the best of what we are giving and try to enjoy each day we are given. Life is such a precious gift.

  4. Hello, I want to say the other comments were a blessing to me! And Yes, this too shall pass!! And I believe our attitude and how we choose to use are time and how we respond is a powerful testimony! Old man winter has been hanging on, but I know Spring will really appear soon.
I have enjoyed being home in many ways because I chose to make the best of a not ideal situation. I feel a great sense of calm and I think many children and young adults just maybe have a new sense of home and having good health is a blessing. I know some good things will come out of this! Hugs, Roxy xoxo
