Change is good...sometimes.

Being snowed in has it's disadvantages. The ADD kicks in, and I get bored. The first thing that comes out, are the scissors.
Mr. Lakehouse knows if the bathroom door is locked, I'm cutting my hair.
He also knows that I will be awhile, because of the empty box of hair color, or highlighter he saw in the trash.
My hair seems to have gotten ALOT grayer since the news just before the holidays.
Soooooooooo....instead of covering the gray, I just added some highlights, and lowlights.
Since I usually wear my nerd glasses, I took the pic with them on....LOLOLOL!!
Anyway...with the new year, I thought I'd go shorter. Now my earrings show, and I DO LOVE big earrings!
I DO NOT take good pictures, but my new attitude toward "life" lets me throw care to the wind, and just "be".
I am ready for our trip to Sanibel Island...well, my head is ready. My body is another story...I'm working on that tho.
If the fat doesn't come off, I'll be sure to get a tanning package...it's like wearing dark colors...you always look slimmer.

    Great job on the hair... I am a hairdresser & don't dare do my own... ( I presently have the worst haircut EVER... & I paid a fortune for it : ) Maybe I should drive north & have you do mine.... feel better... we are off for points north..where there is probably more snow...

    Debbie- great cut and dye job! You look so stinkin' cute! LOL about the tan! I had never thought of it making you look thinner- if it works- I need to do it a lot!
    Wear a bikini! You only live once and those people will never see you again! Just don't do it at home where they know you!

    You look FHABYOULUS DAHLING! I can't believe you cut your own hair...in the bathroom...with your own scissors...you are a brave soul. I can't imagine cutting my own hair...even the hairdresser can't imagine cutting my hair..and she is paid to do it!

    Love that you are getting ready to go to Sanibel...and that darned skinny Laurie will be all toned and tanned to beat the band..Don't you dare worry about how you look-you are beautiful just the way you are..tan or no tan...you just be glad that you are one healthy chick and have a ball..lol...I am jealous cuz I know that you gals are gonna have so much fun. I hope someone takes a computer so you can check in and make us drool over your vacation.

    I love your new cut and color, Debbie (or "snip and dip" as I like to call it!!)! You did a great job! And I think you take a wonderful picture:) I just started discovery a few gray hairs this past year, and I hate them! Nothing that a little box of haircolor can't fix, though! I always say, why be gray if you don't have to? And I am so happy that you will soon be going to Sanibel, you deserve it! Wish I was going with you!! Have a great weekend!

    Whoooot! Whoooot!! LUV LUV LUV LUV LUV your hair short, sista!!! It looks soooo chic on you! Yeah, even with your nerd glasses (that look alot like my nerd glasses, btw). I ADORE your hair short and sassy. And you always do such a great job cutting and coloring it. :)

    Did I tell you that I had my hair cut again? No? It's shorter with low-lites. Lisa Rinna style! Well...until I grow it out again - which I'm sure will happen cuz I'm just like that. Undecided and bouncing from one style to another like a ping pong ball. But I do love my big earrings, too. :)

    Better get your hiney to that tanning bed, girlie! I went for the first time today. Yay! It felt so good! I totally agree with you about having a tan. As bad as it is, tan fat always looks better than white fat....which I have plenty of (so don't listen to that crazy Diana....) lol!

    wowzers...awesome photo...You look great...If I didn't know about all that you have just walked through I would NOT believe it...Wasn't it Eleanor Roosevelt, that said..."Women are like teabags..we don't know our true strength til we are in hot water..."~ and of course we find out that with the strength of Christ we can do ANYTHING! which leads me to another one she said.. (I looked it up to get it right.) "We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot.", and of course, Christ told us to FEAR NOT! :-) He wants us to get a really good grip on the fact that with Him along we just....do....not....have....to ....fear...ANY-THING!....RAH! YOU LOOK MAHHHHvelous! Think I'll get my hair cut and get the grey out this week!

    Love the new hair cut, I can't believe you did it yourself....color looks great...You just look terrific and those glasses aren't nerdy....I was about to take the scissors to my hair but thought better of it....The Boss has banned me from home dying my hair....said it was going to kill us both from the fumes....so until I can go and have it done I look like a skunk!!...and it's all his fault!.....LOL....Have a great time on Sanibel, I haven't been there in 30 odd years but I remember it being gorgeous...

    I wish I could take the scissors to my hair and have it come out looking that good! I tried on my bangs area about a month ago. Hello! Won't be doing that again. You look beautiful in your glasses. (I wear glasses as well.)

    Don't worry about how you look for Sanibel. All you have to do is take a walk on the beach and you'll see how beautiful you already are! Your beach time is certainly just around the corner. :))
