I just want to thank you all for the prayers, and cards, and gifts you've sent as I walk(very slowly) this journey.
I am home, for the fourth time since December 19th. This last stay in the hospital was a LONG one. I had a perforated bowel, and then an abscess. The pain was brutal, and the recovery has been slow.
I have been home for a week now, and am finally off the IV's. A nurse came everyday to help us hook up the lipids, and nutrients that kept me going. The central line was taken out three days ago.
I am eating little by little...things taste "off" because of the drugs I'm taking...but at least yogurt, scrambled eggs, and soup are better than chewing ice chips for the past three weeks!!
If the Crohn's Disease flares again, I'll have to have some major surgery...we are hoping this last episode will be the end of this whole thing.
It's been slow....but I am hoping God will keep me strong, and faithful.
Thank you all again, for the comments and prayers.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you guys!!!!!
Debbie
