Experimenting with blue.

Talk about a crazy winter!!!!!!
Yesterday we had thunder, lightening, and rain on top of the two feet of snow on the ground.
Today we are having wind gusts over 30mph with white out snow squalls.
I feel Mother Nature's pain...being in mental-pause isn't fun.

I was fooling around with the settings on my camera this morning, trying to get that bluish color that I see on some of the "shabby blogs" out there.

I finally got it, but the pictures didn't come out as clear as I wanted.
Plus, they are kind of dark.

I guess that's part of the fun....experimenting.

I'll just keep working on it until I get it right.
Don't forget to pray for Donna at My Shabby Chateau. She's having surgery. God Bless You "Glitter Queen"!
I'm joining Faded Charm for White Wednesday. The button is on my side bar.

  1. Miss D...Love all your pics my friend! Sorry about your crazeeee weather. It's been so incredibly lovely in Oklahoma I was out yesterday with just a thick sweater over a t-shirt. We need moisture tho and tomorrow it's suppose to rain a bit. Without it we will be doomed come the spring!

Hope this finds you well! LOVE YOUR HOME!

  2. Nice shots, Debby. I have no idea how to do any of that! But I CAN bake~;>) I did a post about Donna today, too. I hope you are having a good day- xo Diana

  3. Hello ! I know what you mean about the weather...it's the same over here...we have a bit of everything ! What it has made me realise is that a few degrees change in temperature can feel like an awful lot !! Love your 2 little white pot birdies...very cute ! I'm popping over to Donna's now to leave a message. Gail x

  4. The snow is all gone here, yesterday in the 50's! Crazy weather is right! I love that blue you are fooling with on your camera, very pretty!
I've been praying for her, she will be fine! God hears!

  5. Debbie, I love the blue affect! That's the fun of learning new things, try, try again!

  6. Debbie, I think your pictures look a little dreamy:):) I like them. I will pray for Donna. I remember so many of you praying for my Lizzy girl. She's doing pretty well with God's good love. I hope you are still getting stronger everyday also. Love you sweet Debbie, Smiles too, Susie(She Junks)

  7. Very cool, Debbie ! (does anyone every say cool anymore ? I'm dating myself!) I think the blue tint gives everything a very ethereal feel... oh so romantic!

  8. That's the way to learn to do some really cool things is to play, play, play! Love your fun photos.
Just waiting to hear something on Donna! God is with her. ;)

  9. Sounds like mother nature is playing games with you!
Keep having fun with your camera ~ looks great to me!

  10. How funny, you're trying to get that blueish color and I took some quick snaps before work and was wondering how to eliminate it! Your pics are fun, I just have a point an shoot-enjoy:@)

  11. Mother nature sure has been temperamental here in Michigan lately. What am I saying, she's always temperamental here! Mental-pause...ha! I can so relate!

  12. Hi Debbie, you sure must have a fancy camera, I'm lucky when I think I get a None Blurry Pic.... I really love those sweet little Birdies at the bottom ~ The weather is crazy, yesterday it was 50 here around 2 & by 5 it was 30, today it is barely 20, that Bone chilling cold.... I can't seem to get warm.
the only real snow we have had was last Saturday, 3" but of course the temps yesterday melted it all away.... Spring can't come soon enough for Me ~
    Stay Warm

  13. This weather is crazy! I think we've had the warmest January on record...for Minne-snowta! It's so much fun playing around with the camera...wish I would take the time to experiment too! Looks like you are having fun and that's what it's all about.
