Good Tuesday to you.
It's a day of warmth, and sunshine here at the Lakehouse.
I went to the greenhouse to see what they will be offering this year.
The hanging baskets look lovely, as usual.
I am looking forward to start bringing them home.
I will try to wait a few more days, giving them some time to get acclimated to being in the greenhouse first, and then moved outdoors.
There were some gorgeous rose bushes there also.
I wish our growing season wasn't so short here.
Since it is....I will wait a little longer.
I'll keep my eye on the weather reports.
If the night time temps will stay above freezing, I'll be taking a few trips to the greenhouse to pick up the many hanging baskets, and annuals that I so love having here at the Lakehouse.
And more rose bushes, hydrangeas, clematis, purple coneflower, veronica, lavender, and whatever else I can fit in the back of the truck!Enjoy your week!

Debbie, I enjoyed looking at the pictures you posted. Love the wine cabinet !! I love flowers too, can't wait till we can all post photos of our flowerbeds. Sending you hugs and kisses, Susie
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to a trip to the greenhouse, too, Debbie! I love getting hanging geraniums, lot of petunias for my planters, pansies, and more. Your photos are gorgeous! I really love your cabinet that looks like a screen door, I don't remember ever seeing it before.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures and vignettes are so pretty in this post, Debbie...have you been puttering?! And it looks like you have a new banner, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI wish our growing season were longer, too, but I do love our 4 seasons. You do have me thinking about what sort of baskets I'll make. Petunias seem to do the best for me.
Wasn't the weather great today? Just a little too warm in the house though.
Have a great evening, my friend!
XO,
Jane
I like that wine cabinet too. I pour over your gorgeous photos. xo
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the weather is finally better and that you can start thinking about planting again. Don't you just love walking around a greenhouse even if you can't buy anything yet!

Its still a tad too early here, too. Love all your pics today. Love those beaded pieces that hang down. We got up to 87 yesterday and had to turn the air on. Got another cold front coming in tomorrow with at least 2 inches of rain in it. Doing a little bit outside every day until that happens, so its been a good week.
ReplyDeleteI wandered around the nursery the other day, too, Debbie - and 6 rose bushes and 1 pine tree hopped into my SUV and came home with me. lol Waiting til next week to buy any hanging baskets and annuals, but it was wonderful to smell that earthiness again while wandering around! :) PS Two yds of mulch to go and I'll be done! Yay! lol
ReplyDeleteOh, and what's that pretty jeweled dangling pretty hanging from your birdcage? Love it!!
xoxo laurie
We've been having 80 degree weather and I went out to buy plants. Got them home and last night the temps dropped 40 degrees and they're saying sleet and snow with below freezing temperatures on Friday. Thank goodness I hadn't planted everything. So, I put everything in boxes and brought them in the house. Looks like a greenhouse here!
