The sun was going down, and I just finished cleaning up after a day of working in the gardens.
Pulling weeds, moving plants to other spots, putting in new roses, and giving some perennials a new home.
I grabbed my camera, and thought I'd show you how things look here at sunset.
The hollyhocks are in full bloom.
They look beautiful in the evening hours.
I think Mr. L should back off on the fertilizer!
The plants are not only VERY tall...some of the flowers are VERY large!!!
Sheeesh...talk about Land of the Giants!!
I hope you are having a fun weekend!xxoo
Your flowers are doing tremendously well...I love your header picture and I have always wanted to grow hollyhocks. I love the way my plants look in the very early morning and then in the evening. These are beautiful pictures, Debbie! Hope your Sunday is as great as today! :)

The hollyhocks look spectacular Debbie! I wouldn't change a thing-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteDebbie, You are the only one I know , who has those beautiful hollyhocks. I raised some last year...but this year they didn't return. I envy you putting out new roses also. I truly need to dig in the dirt here, more. Thanks for sharing your pretty flowers. This way you give out bouquets, and do not have to pick your flowers.:):) xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteOh how glorious everything looks! Your hollyhocks are stunning. Are you able to dry those? What a gorgeous space to spend a warm summer evening!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and such lovely pinks. Our backyard garden is in need of weeding but last week it was either pouring rain or we were busy, and this week is supposed to be a scorcher.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly do have a green thumb!
