Finishing touches in the dining room.

After finishing the chair pads, and table runner, the dining room table seemed to be standing alone in the middle of the room with the new fabric. Having nothing else in the room wearing the design, it was like the game we played in grade school....."and the cheese stands alone".

I made a simple pillow, and ruffle for the front of the iron crib that I'm using for a love seat in the dining room..... to tie the room together.

I don't want the new fabric to take over the room, because I am more of a shabby chic kind of gal...but I DO like a little "French" added to the mix.

I feel this is "just enough" for me.

As the winds blow in another blast from the frigid Siberian region, I'll be tucked inside...working on another project here at our little cottage at the lake.

    Oh- It looks good, Debbie. I think it is just enough, too. I really LOVE that fabric in there.and it does give it a French feel. Now you need to add some Nordic, Prairie, Boho, Romantic accents and you will be all set. Sorry- can't resist teasing ya a little! xo Diana

      I suppose I could add some sticks to the table for the Nordic look, and my cowboy boots for the Prairie part, I'll change my picture to one with me wearing a peasant blouse, and a headband for a Boho vibe.....and have a naked man laying on the sofa for some Romance? I think that about covers all areas, Diana. You little stinker! I love you.

    I love it, Debbie! I am drooling over all of the gorgeous pillows you have on your crib/bed. Love the lace and pom poms! And also that birdcage on your coffee table!!
    The toile fabric is a perfect addition to your pretty home:)

    I like the added touches, so subtle! But, that lace pillow in the front, To. Die. For.!!!! Love it!! I'm sure you created that as well! Talented woman you are! Blessings!

    Naked man on the sofa! I love the toile additions and your chair pads and pillow look professionally sewn. Your talent is endless. A little French influence enhances your beautiful dining room. Debbie I love the crib turned into love seat, it's a creative touch and the layering you've done to it with pretty pillows and adorable bunny looks so inviting. Can't wait to see what you create next.

    It does look wonderful there. You've pulled it all together very nicely. Still very cold here too. Those winds were relentless yesterday when I ventured out to get some shopping done. Keep warm !

    Wow, you are so talented! I wish I could sew!!! It's on my list to get a sewing machine and start learning. Your room looks so beautiful, very warm and welcoming and so cozy. It must be lovely to sit in there with a cup of tea and a good book:)

    I went to school mainly in England and Canada so I've never heard of "the cheese stands alone", sounds interesting...I love cheese!!!

    I am very interested in seeing these pictures as it always makes my creative thoughts start spinning! I hope to show off my Bunny once it is finished. I hope it doesn't have a time limit like Easter LOL As sewing the clothes will be the tough part for me! I had a ball doing that post on tea staining lace, now where will I use some of that pretty lace? What is a girl to do!
    We also have another wave of storms coming in tonight!

    You did a fabulous job on the the chair pads, runner and pillow! Don't ever tell me again that you can't make things! I'm doing some catching up reading your blog today. You've made some beautiful things. Those hearts are darling.

    I'm up to my eyeballs in book work and taxes, but am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm going to be in Gaylord Saturday for a wedding shower. My daughter will be there too, and I want to get home before dark. I wish I had time to squeeze in supper with you. We will definitely have to plan a time, maybe in April when the weather is milder?
