Trust that He knows.

Do you belong to a group?
Do you meet regularly?
You know how it feels when the group starts growing....in numbers, and relationally.
It goes in spurts, sometimes...depending on the seasons.
There are times when you may have a lot of people showing up, and things seem to be going well.
Then participation drops off, and attendance does, too.
You question what you are doing wrong, and you wonder if you've offended someone.
Depending what the group is about, you have to trust that God is orchestrating every meeting, and He is the one bringing in the people that need to be there at each, and every session.

This morning was one of those times....attendance was sparse...yet the meeting was uplifting, and filled with encouragement.
Scripture tells us that.... where two or three are gathered together in My Name there am I in the midst of them. Matthew 18:20,

The conversation was about the Joy of the Lord.  The Holy Spirit was using each of us to minister to each other, meeting us exactly where we were at in the moment.

Prayer time was the same.
Intimate, and honest.....moving from Glory to Glory.
Whether we have six or seven women, or just two of us....it's the same.
God wraps us in His presence....revealing His Grace and Mercy.

The experience is that of being in the "upper room", for me.
Gathering together with women seeking the presence of God.
Wanting "more" of Him.
Longing to know the full extent of His love for us.

Holding unto that fervent expectation of seeing Jesus face to face.
Always assured that I have that physical manifestation of His promises, to hold whenever I need to actually touch, open, and read for myself what He says in His Word.
God's purpose does not need an arena, full of people, to accomplish what He wills.  One person, sharing His love with another is all He needs.  1Corinthians 15:1-4.

  1. I love this Debbie. I think if we each can feel God's presence in our lives it is amazing but then if two or more are gathered to feel his presence even more special. Glad you have your special group of ladies to share your love of God. Happy Sunday. xoxo

  2. The faithful few will always survive any of the seasons of life. I think we are meant to lean on each other and support each other through life. Friends are such a gift. Our church is seeing small attendance these days and everyone is getting used to the internet streaming services they provide. It makes one wonder if they will every come back the way they used to. So much has changed. But no matter what the people are what make up the church and I do believe it will go on. Look at what's happened over the years. Bless you for your faithful attendance .
