Good afternoon blogging enthusiasts!
Well....I've finally done it....I've let go of summer, and embraced Autumn.
Here at the lakehouse the leaves are changing a little everyday.
It's inevitable....the change is taking place whether I'm ready for it, or not....kind of like menopause.(or as my kids call it...mental-pause).
I'm slowly pulling out the garlands, wreaths, pumpkins, the berries, and other decorations that usher in the Fall season.
The transformation is gradual. I'll be sharing more each day, as the house fills with the images of the changing season. The sunflowers are the next thing to appear. How can I NOT appreciate Autumn when these happy faced flowers show up?
The sun is shining, the wind is blowing, the sky is clear, and the air is crisp...what more could I ask for?
Have a splendid day my friends.
Debbie

Beautiful!! I love the wire basket! I've started to do a little bit, but not much...I heard we are in for some warmer weather, hopefully not the 90's! BTW, I love your table runner, did you make it?

This is so pretty Debbie. I love your harvest style table too. Is that a burlap runner?
ReplyDeleteI just posted some info about my Mackinac Island Retreat....check it out!
Mary :o)
Lovely table! I notice the stores have colorful squash on display and autumn colors to attract buyers to the produce and bakery areas. When the seasons change, they swap out their decor just like we do at home!
ReplyDeleteDebbie- I love your Fall decorations. I am glad to see that some are still using the true colors of Autumn....the oranges and golds and reds. I love your table runner. I think I am going to have to pick up some burlap and get stitching..I am itching to start stitching.
ReplyDeleteI see you beat me to inviting Fall into your home! You are just one step ahead of me, girl. I need to get my Fall stuff hauled out and decorate for soon. I have been holding onto Summer for all it is worth...but I think that is beyond us now...another Summer passed and I feel like I missed the best part of it somehow. *sigh*
Have a wonderful cozy evening- xxoo Diana
Debbie, I just found your blog and your Fall decorations are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteYour fall arrangements are just gorgeous! I really love your wire cloche, I've never seen one like that. And the vintage milk bottle carrier looks so neat, too. I just realized that I don't have much in the way of fall decor, looks like I need to buy or make something!!
That is just beautiful. Did you make the runner on your table? I love Fall, almost as much as I love summer. Around here it doesn't seem like Fall lasts long enough though. It's just a short time until the dreaded Winter comes and spoils everything.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so lovely. The wire cloche is gorgeous.

It looks absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie. I too have been holding onto summer for all it's worth. Truth be told, I don't have much in the way of fall decorating. I really need to make/buy some things.
ReplyDeleteI love all the wire/metal baskets etc. on your tablescape. Is that a metal cloche? How cool! As always, you've done a beautiful job.
Since Fall is my favorite season, I say "bring it on"!! It looks beautiful!

ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see you embrace what you cannot change- giggle.
Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve...maybe a wooly worm or two?
