The weekend has come to an end, and we are at the beginning of another week.
I trust you had time to do something enjoyable Saturday and Sunday...whether it be yard saling, mall shopping, antique hunting, attending church, spending time with family, or just relaxing.
I washed some lavender bottles, and set them on the kitchen window sill. Usually I scour shops, and sales for the blue or green bottles and jars...but while vintage shopping one weekend, Laurie(from Heaven's Walk) and I spotted dozens of lavender bottles. I was so drawn to them, I ended up purchasing five of them.
It's difficult to really see how pretty they are in these photos, but believe me when I say...they are beautiful!
I plan to put them in my bedroom on a side table...but for now, they are in the window so that I can see them while working at the sink.
In case you didn't know...it was Talk Like a Pirate Day. Tete, from Beyond the Garden Gate, had a really fun post to celebrate...check out her blog....Johnny Depp is over there!!!Have a great start to your work week.

Gorgeous! I'm not sure I've ever seen lavender bottles. Now when junkin and thrifting I will be on the look out for them :)

Really pretty. I love the different sizes and shapes. They look great together but I think they would looks good with the blues and greens too.
ReplyDeleteIf you have tried vinegar to get these clean and it didn't work- you might try denture tablets- let them sit 20-30 minutes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning my pirate post! I had fun doing it and I love Johnny! He curls my toes!
Hope your weekend was grand!
Hugs- Tete
Really cute!!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! They look great on the windowsill with the shells!
ReplyDeleteI've never noticed that color of bottles in my travels before - usually one sees the green or blue bottles. Very nice display!

I have never seen a lavendar bottle before. Very pretty. Thanks for sharing, now I'll be on the lookout for them.
ReplyDeleteOh...so...cool! I love those lavender bottles. I haven't seen very many of them anywhere. My Aunt used to buy talcum powder that came in a lavender glass "bottle"...I hadn't thought about that in years. You can bet I will watch for them now. I have one room that has quite a bit of "lavender" or lilac in it-it is one of my favorite colors!
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely, lovely-as usual- xxoo Diana
Ha, I was wondering why someone on facebook was talking like a pirate!
ReplyDeleteI love your new header Debbie! You new bottles are very pretty! I too love bottles but I have not collected any of the lavender toned bottles. That might change!
