Bringing Autumn Inside

 Good Thursday morning to everyone.
I don't know what the weather has been like for you, but here in Michigan it's been GORGEOUS!
With all of the leaves turning, I've finally realized it really is Fall. Maybe I was waiting for a return to summer?  Doesn't matter, because Fall is here, and I'm embracing it with arms open to the beauty and splendor of the season.
I changed my header this morning. Tete from Beyond the Garden Gate offered some great pictures for us to use on our blogs. She is just the sweetest person ever! Tete has helped me with my blog design a few times, and I appreciate her soooooooo much!!
I brought in the last of the hydrangeas the other day. I love the color they morphed into for the Fall season.
They add a pop of "Autumn color" here and there inside the lakehouse.
I haven't emptied the window boxes yet. I love sitting at the dining room table this time of year and being able to see how the geraniums have changed their clothes to suit the season. They are wearing a beautiful amber shade on their leaves. So pretty.
Time to get ready for work at the pharmacy.
Enjoy your morning.
Hugs to everyone.
Debbie

  1. I love how hydrangeas look dried. I'd love to grow them just for that. I have a windoe box of geraniums that I bring inside for the winter. The crazy things keep blooming!!

I hope the weaather stays nice for the weekend and that we don't get side tracked going to the lake!!

  3. Your fall decorating is so pretty. I loved the dried flowers and seed pods that fall offers.
Your window box is so soothing to look at. I would leave it like that for winter, add a few white lights and wait for the snow to cover it. Then I would sit and enjoy the glow on those cold winter nights you have, through the frosted windows.
Love your new header! Glad you are using it!
Thanks for the kind words- you are so sweet!
    Hugs- Tete

  5. Hey Debbie! Your hydrangeas are just beautiful! And love the way you displayed them. The photo of your window box outside the window is so very pretty! The blue bottles just pop. I'm so glad that you guys are having this great weather, too! It's been a beautiful fall so far! :) Smooch!

  9. Hi Debbie,

Well, as always, it is fun to come and visit here. I love your touches of Fall. Your sense of sweetness and love of white shows in all your pictures.

I have had a hard time leaving summer this year too. It feels like I missed it somehow. I am going downstairs tonight and drag some Fall "stuff" out!

I have to tell you- I "met" Tete through your blog and I absolutely ADORE this woman. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. If I never got another follower (save her) I would be happy. She is bright and funny and caring. What more could anyone ask for? Are ya reading this Tete? Are ya blushing a bit? Yeah? Well, you just blush away cuz I meant every word of it....and Debbie-thank you for helping me find her!

    Hugs- Diana

  11. Hi Debbie,
Your hydrangeas are so pretty! I've tried growing them, but now luck! We have ton of black walnut trees in our yard (which I detest!), and you know how they "poison" the soil! Your blog design is great! How nice of Tete to help you :) I have been trying forever to change my background and header, but no luck! I am visiting with my sister next week, so I'll have her help me! Needless to say, I am a bit challenged by this sort of thing! :)
