Okay....this post has more photos than I've ever shared before.
The reason being....it involves one of my favorite things....flowers from my gardens.
Dried flowers.
I love the colors and textures of flowers as they dry.
Having flowers in the house during the long winter months, makes me feel like the gardens are still flourishing...and it gives my spirit a lift.
Enjoy.......
I hope I didn't bore you.
How could I leave these beauties outside, when they could be appreciated through the winter season...inside, with me?
Have a glorious Saturday!
Debbie

Debbie, I love a fresh bouquet of roses...but I am feeling that the dried ones are so romantic....as if they were saved in sweet memory of the giver. I have some I have saved from last year. Actually I have some glass containers holding petals of flowers from my mother and father's funeral bouquets. I can't part with them. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Bless you. love you, Susie
ReplyDeleteYour dried flowers are gorgeous! I also love dried flowers and have them scattered around:) I love your Lavender, I'm such a sucker for it...it evokes memories of being little in England. We had a Lavender pomander in the bathroom and I used to sniff it for abnormally long periods of time:)
ReplyDeleteWe're having a nice, lazy Saturday! Just did some shopping and now Kyran's napping and I'm watching an old movie and reading blogs:) Enjoy your day!
All gorgeousness sweet Debbie, love your photos. I bought a tiny little orchid awhile back and the petite flowers are falling off because it wants to go into its rest period. I am gathering them as they fall and trying to see how tiny orchid flowers dry. Beautiful dried floral to brighten the home, thanks for sharing all the pretties. BTW not too many photos at all!!!!
ReplyDeleteSending love,

Your pictures are so wonderful. The red rose looks like it´s made out of paper...wow.Breath taking images!!! I bought some purple roses the other day, they are still hanging heads down in my hallway.I hope by tomorrow they are dried enough to display them.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

Debbie, I love your dried flowers and they add so much beauty to your home. I love, love the dried hydrangea inside the wall hanging basket. Your home has such character and warmth and the dried flowers add romance and shabby chic to lovely vignettes.
ReplyDeleteHow could such beauties bore us, Debbie?! They are just gorgeous, your photos really capture just how lovely each and every bud and blossom is. Looks straight out of a magazine shoot!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie
ReplyDeleteI just love each and every picture you shared. Love all the flowers. The hydrangea is my favorite. I just brought in a bunch to make a garland for my mantel in a few weeks. I love my garden flowers also, its so nice to bring them in and enjoy them for the Fall and Winter. Hope your weekend is wonderful

They are beautiful flowers, Debbie! Do you have a specific technique you use to dry them? Do you use spray or anything or do you just hang them? Those roses are gorgeous, the texture is beautiful! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I shouldn't be surprised--you are an expert at this and you have given me invaluable advice!
ReplyDeleteLove to you!

So many pretty flowers, so little time...unless you bring them inside! Many pretty pictures here, Debbie
ReplyDeleteHello love the flowers. I think it is wise to place them around the house in the long winter months to remind us of the summer beauties that came from our gardens. Much love to you my dear friend , Roxy
