Hello.
I trust your holiday weekend is going well.
We had company for a couple of days.
The weather has been hot and humid.
After everyone left, I started working on more silk ribbon embroidery.
I'm still practicing on sachets.
I'm hoping to find a shop that sells supplies here in Michigan.
I don't want to have to keep ordering supplies online.
Enjoy your Labor Day!!Debbie

I'm sharing this post at Shabby Art Boutique for Shabbilicious Friday.
These are absolutely gorgeous! love them.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did. The pillow is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteOH my that is so beautiful!!! Just love it. Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteWow Debbie they are beautiful. I think you need to open up an etsy shop. Just do not see this ribbon embroidery much anymore and it is so pretty.

Debbie- That is just gorgeous!!!!! I used to know someone that did ribbon embroidery but wasn't smart enough to ask her to show me how to do it. It really is kind of a lost art. GORGEOUS!!!! xo Diana

Oh, what beautiful work Debbie! I have no idea how to do ribbon embroidery, but your sachets look like a pro! I agree with others, you could make and sell these! We are having a very cool Labor Day here, such welcome weather after our hot dry summer! Enjoy the rest of the day :)
ReplyDeleteThose are just gorgeous, Debbie! I can't even imagine how you do that, and the time you put into them! Beautiful! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteWow, oh wow, Debbie! Your ribbon work is just gorgeous! You truly are gifted:) What beautiful projects, I am so glad you rediscovered a lost love. Hope you find a local source for the ribbon, I will keep my eyes out for some for you, too!
ReplyDeletebig hugs

This is what inspiration is all about, you see something that speaks to you and before you know it your a pro !!
ReplyDeleteThey look beautiful, you need an etsy shop, I am certain they will fly out the door.
debbie, I could see one done with your oatmill linen, and all done in Grey silk, ver Nordic and Jeanne d arc living.
It would look like it jumped out of their magazines, and with everyone loving whites and greys these days it would be a sure sell with your lavender scenting.
Just beautiful.
Hope you had a beautiful visit with your guest, I am sure they wanted to shop right from your lake house :)
Xx

Oh my! Looks great. You're doing a great job there lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Tuesday.

Your embroidery is lovely. They are truly a work from the heart. Hot and humid here too. Sadly most of the sewing/crafting shops have closed around here and the big chains have mostly taken over. Hope you can find one close to you.
ReplyDeleteYour work is incredible Debbie!!! It looks so tricky, I wouldn't even know where to begin. It's hard to find small craft/stitching shops anymore. We have Michael's and Hobby Lobby but that's pretty much it and I find Hobby Lobby can be outrageously expensive!
ReplyDeleteKyran went back to work yesterday (Labor Day) and it was grey and rainy all day so felt like just another Monday!
Hi Debbie, Your ribbon work is just stunning. Love your sachets and the details are gorgeous. You are inspiring me to get out my books on this. I have been hoping to begin one day. I love to stitch and have done lots of creations but ribbon stitching has always been one I have not done but wanted to try so I purchased a few books.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. Have fun and enjoy the process. You are one talented gal.
Blessings, cm
Very pretty Debbie. You are so talented. And patient. :-) Have a good week sweetie. xo
ReplyDeleteOhh... your sachets are so romantic! I love them in every single detail. You are very talented.

You've created a few dainty things already with the ribbon embroidery, have fun learning the intricate techniques of this specialty art.
ReplyDeleteOh that's so pretty Debbie and I imagine it takes quite a bit of patience ....the end result looks so vintage in style it's great !
