It was a long day at the pharmacy.
We weren't busy, so that means the day goes by really slow.
Not that I want my day to rush by...but I do love being home, especially on the weekend.
Frost was being forecast last night again, so I went out to cut the rest of the hydrangea.
The white ones were the only flowers left.
I LOVE the way they look in the galvanized buckets.
I also like the look of the gray pieces on the French table runner...that's on top of a linen runner(the crochet edge is all that shows), that's on top of the ticking runner I made earlier this year.As much as I like the warm colors of Autumn...I guess I'm just not ready to let go of these last few moments of Summer.
I scattered the gourds(that were on the table for Thursdays tablescape) around the house. Maybe by next week I'll bring in more "Fallish" decor.
Until then.....I'm taking it slow.
Frost already? YIKES! Your table is lovely!

gotta say, I'm jealous of your awesome weather ! It's still way too warm here in jersey !
ReplyDeleteJust Lovely!!
ReplyDeleteLittle bit of summer, little bit of fall.. : )
We were up north for the last 10 days (Mackinac Island ) HOT last weekend & COLD the last few days... I too love fall, but it is coming on too fast.. : )
I love all your galvinized containers. Hard to believe you still have hydrangeas that are whit. Mine have all turned and are drying.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your table and all of your wonderful galvanized pieces, Debbie! The hydrangea is so pretty, hard to believe you have frost on the way! Oh, could you tell me where you found that gorgeous French runner? Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you hear that it snowed in Colorado, sis? Ugh!!! It's commmmmin.....! lol! Your table looks so pretty that way. My hydrangeas will be cut tomorrow and will grace my kitchen table, too. The little bit of gray in those buckets brings in a autumn feel that's just perfect. The only things I've put out so far are a few white mini pumpkins and some white yarn balls. Keeping it simple and uncluttered so far. :)

It sure is pretty though Debbie, I love the colors. That blue chair is a real pop. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteYes, keep sipping the last of the summer wine...the first day of fall is waiting around the corner and will come soon enough!
ReplyDeleteYour stuff looks beautiful, Debbie...and could actually ride it right into Fall. I love the buckets and the way you layer things. You do a great job.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I've been shamed into it. I am packing my summer stuff away tomorrow and bringing Fall in. I feel like I got cheated out of summer this year. I think some of it was because I was working so much and the rest of it because I didn't get anything done that I had hoped to accomplish.
Hope your week si a good one- xo Diana
I hate to see summer go too, I guess it's because we had such a good one! Love the galvanized buckets on those three runners such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and entering my giveaway Deb!
Hi Debbie, I love your non-traditional fall table! Your hydrangeas in the buckets are just too sweet for words. hugs ~lynne~
