Back then, I never thought about them being grown with babes of their own to wake up. I miss their sleepy eyes, and tousled hair...them bumping into each other as they made their way to the breakfast table.
Seems like just yesterday.
Time goes by way too fast. I really need to slow down and enjoy each day. Instead of racing toward the weekends, I should be relishing all the days in between.
Make sure to slow yourself down today. Pick a flower. Smell a rose. Watch birds at the feeders. Sit and watch the sun as it rises in the sky, and breaks over the water.
Choose one thing that you will do today that will bring some joy...even if it's just for a moment.

Such a nice post, Debbie. I miss the days when my girls were you, before they became little devils! lol! Everyone told me that they grow up fast but I didn't believe them. I think we are so busy with our young families that we don't notice the time flying by. And now I have to stop and smell the roses instead of complaining about the thorns.
